I think Bowles HAS to beat the Panthers or else his firing is solidified. He has to be the most underachieving coach in the entire league. Look at the talent last year and this year, and he is 12-16 thus far. It’s not acceptable. And then he goes up in the presser talking about “we’re only a game behind the division lead” which is true but feels like he thinks our performance is acceptable as long as the division is within reach. AND his idiotic use of time outs. Once again we go into the half with all three and then on our attempted comeback drive, why do we RUSH to run a second play before the 2 min warning and not use a timeout. We gained a few yards, neglected to use a timeout before the 2 min warning, rushed a play, and got flagged for an illegal formation iirc. Use the damn timeout, take your time for a play, and still have the 2 min warning. I swear Bowles has NO IDEA how to use timeouts.

Offense: Bad day overall. Sure Rachaad had 100 yards and 6.7 ypc but he had one really long run inflate it. Would you rather have his 15 rushes for 100 and 6.7 ypc or Taylor’s 15 rushes for 91 yards and 6.1 ypc? To me Taylor impacted his team more and moved the chains when needed. Don’t get me started on Canales’ continued decision to NOT give Godwin chances. Evans and Godwin combined for 9 touches while Rachaad had 15 carries and 2 receptions. Canales keeps saying teams are focusing on Godwin and Evans. Yeah? Is this the FIRST time teams have focused on them? Other teams figure out ways to get their top guys open yet we don’t. We still can’t score consistently in the red zone. It’s been 11 games and we still have the same issues. At least Evans is at 850 yards and 9 TD (2nd in league). He got his 90th all time TD too and is moving up the all time charts!

Defense: Lavonte was out so I knew the run defense would struggle. And it did. Carlton Davis has regressed. He is consistently getting beat by average guys now. Pittman had over 100 yards on him. The pass rush struggled and really should’ve excelled. For a team with a defensive mastermind at the helm, this defense is playing below their level and will be enough to get Toilet Bowles fired since he can’t even do that right. It’s not like we don’t have the talent.

Anyways, how many people are REALLY confident that we can beat the Panthers? Like honestly, I know they’re terrible but do we feel it’s a lock? Seems like the type of game where they get their offense on track against us, especially considering we suck at home for some reason. This is not good.
