Cade, Ivey, Ausar, & duren; That’s it. Those 4 players are the 4 that stay and the rest can fuck off and be spun off to other teams that need their services. I start Ausar at the 4 personally. Cade and Ivey can run the back court and duren at the center. If they could grab OG Anunoby and a few guys off the bench who can shoot and have some defensive grit……MAYBE this team could make some waves in the league. Cade IS NOT a primary ball handler, but he is a future superstar in this league. I know it’s hard to believe that, but as soon as Monty is fired and replaced by a coach who understands how to utilize Cade, you will see a lot more efficient boxscores from him. 21% on 3 pointers tonight is pathetic. Beef stew shooting 7 3’s is insane. He’s trashcan. He shouldn’t even be playing. He’s just a tough guy who can probably win most fist fights, but what does that matter? I could fucking vomit watching him guard Kuzma. What the fuck is that? He cannot start next to duren. He’s, if his shot is falling, 20 minutes a night at best. Alec burks is garbage. If he misses his first shot, he’s cooked. I have counted many games since last season where if he misses his first shot he will proceed to have a terrible game. Trash. Livers is a guy I was admittedly excited to get back because I thought he would provide some spacing, but that hasn’t been the case thusly. Maybe it’s rust. He’s spent most of his career injured so idk maybe that’ll come around. He’s a solid defender though with good footwork. Killian is just……he’s fine. Backup point guard. He hustles. But god damn him over Halliburton is painful. Who knows if this team would’ve destroyed him though. I’m inclined to believe that he would’ve been a star no matter what because he was good in sacramento and that team was a joke while he was there. Bagley and wiseman are redundant. Fuck both of them from a basketball perspective. Bagley has zero defense. He can’t shoot. He’s athletic, but who cares. Has decent hands which I think gives him an edge over wiseman. Wiseman is gifted physically, but Jesus his hands are like bricks. Also very poor footwork. Gets the ball and has zero patience. Goes up soft often. Trash. I was loudly saying “wait until bojan gets back” up until the Toronto game. That game made me realize that unless bojan scores 30 a game on amazing efficiency and plays NBA 1st team-type defense, we’re fucked regardless. Joe Harris shouldn’t see the floor for the rest of the year when he gets back. Monte morris probably would help this team tremendously, but he can still be a leader as an injured guy on the bench so I’m not really sure how many wins his game brings the team. I’m not sure he stops any of these blowouts from happening. I think this is a 25 win team. They’ll win some games. Probably after monte gets canned. Hopefully we wake up tomorrow to see the news that he has been let go. He even said postgame “the lack of effort is on me”…….okay!!! Then fucking quit.
