Please forgive me. I’m a NBA giganoob who started watching bc of Secret Base videos. I watch the Lakers bc Austin Reaves is my favorite player. I was extremely impressed with him in the playoffs last year and LeBron and AD are really fun to watch. Also a fan of DLo and Hachimura.

I don’t understand why Lakers fans are surprised with the result against the Sixers? They’re better than the Lakers rn. The better team should win most of the time. Getting stomped by Joel Embiid while half of your best rotation players are injured should come as no surprise.

What gives? Losing to the Embiid Sixers isn’t a problem until the playoffs. Who expected different?

Because Darvin Ham does nothing well.

He’s a players coach, who so far this year doesn’t have his players ready to go in the first qt. Consistently the Lakers are behind by 10+ to end the first. His in game adjustments are either non existent, or far too late. He refuses to call offensive sets for Anthony Davis for long stretches or to get on the guards of this team to feed AD. He refuses to call TO when an opposing team is going on a run, instead opting to hold onto his TO late in the game to give Lebron and AD rest… only to end the game with 1-2 timeouts in his pocket anyway EVERY FUKN GAME, so his reasoning doesn’t even work! His rotations are bad, his leash for certain players are too long while others are weirdly too short (Rui is paid like a cornerstone role player… yet Darvin will go long stretches not playing him). Defensive scheme has the Lakers guards going over the top on EVERY screen, even tho DLO and Austin are just flat out not athletic enough to recover… so just run a screen and you will literally get a wide open jumper or a 2 on 1 going downhill

I could go on and on and on. The best thing Darvin Ham has done was to give Reddish confidence… but hell an assistant coach could do that. And that’s exactly what Darvin Ham is. An assistant coach
