I just setup Linux for the first time on a new drive and am dual-booting with windows 11.
I have one drive with windows, one with Linux, and an addition drive (FAT format) to share resources between the two.

I am attempting to add a new drive through steam settings but receive an error on Nautilus stating: “The folder contents cannot be displayed” on launch but then I can move to my desired drive and select a folder but then once I click select nothing happens. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

PS: Adding a new library folder within my Fedora Drive does work, just not the other shared drive.

Same issue, found this thread. Added new drive, set to auto-mount via Disks app. Also on RPM version of Steam. Exact same message when I try to add new drive to Storage in Steam. Except the only difference is the drive is formatted in ext4.

So what is causing Steam to not see the drive when it’s already in ext4 (not FAT)?
