I’m not too proud to admit that I never had great things to say about him. But he’s been playing way better than I thought he would. He’s attacking well, his form looks good, energetic on defense.
3 straight losses are tough but I’m glad to see him playing well.
I get the criticism more through the prism of the Grizz being in the playoffs the last few years. A more “ready” player, whether drafted or traded for would’ve made a bigger impact the last couple years.
He always had a ton of potential though and his length/shooting combo would make the true starting unit deadly if he’s the 3. The flashes were there through his career - finishing ability especially on the break, great shooting mechanics, and good defensive instincts. Just have to hope he stays healthy. A forced bigger role this year may be just what he needs.
