The BMW M3 will someday go electric, and thanks to a trademark application made at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (and another identical application at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office), we can now confirm what that car's name is likely to be: iM3.
Trademark fillings for the iM3 name have been found. But it also looks like an iM3 and M3 might be on sale at the same time
If they’re not manufacturing an iM3 until it’s as good as the current gas powered, it’s years off if ever.
Until and or unless an iM3 can reach and more importantly, maintain 155 mph as well as track day being an equivalent experience to gas engine running all day long…it’s not happening.
