Stotts resigned a month ago & I wasn’t too down about it considering Griffin could go after someone who fit with him better. But so far other than rumors about Sergio Scariolo, I haven’t heard any news about assistant coaching pursuits.
Is it too late in the season? Griffin is doing a good job with where we’re at in the season, but it’d be helpful to get another set of eyes on things, & take some of the load off of AG & Prunty.
It’s no secret that Giannis selected AG. There’s no way a front office with a small championship window would hire a rookie coach that 16 other teams passed on.
In the first week off the season Giannis led an intervention with AG on how to play defense.
Giannis has the franchise by the balls and they’ll run any assistant coach by him first.
Levon doesn’t, Luka does it, typical in the superstar friendly era.
What we should be axing ourselves is….What did Terry Stotts know?
