Option 1 - Pull a 2013 playoff Kap tactic. You know they are going to pick it up so why try and defend it? I propose to have the defensive tackles jump offsides and wallop Hurts every time they line up for it. What’s a 5 yard penalty as opposed to 3. Remember Kap taking a hit every time he handed the ball off?
Option 2 - Put Juice in at QB and copy the tush push exactly. It’s not like Hurts picks it up because there’s a threat of pass. Just line up Juice and have 2 receivers or RB’s behind to push him through the line.
If every team took this approach the play would be out of the NFL next season.
Brett Kollmann does a good job of illustrating the play and how to defense it. Most teams seem to defend it wrong. Basically, teams stack the A gap instead of the B and C gaps. The play is run to Philly’s left under Mailata, Dickerson and Kelce. Watch the film, teams stack the wrong gaps.
