I’ve purchased a watch box that also contains pillows/cushions for the watches. The issue is that the watch cushions are a greater size than my wrist (around 7.5 inches, wrist size around 6.3 inches). This isn’t an issue for leather or rubber straps as I can simply change the size of it but obviously can’t do the same for my metal watch straps with clasps. If I somewhat force it closed, it’s just able to fit on the cushion but there is a fair bit of force on it as it’s fairly tight. Does anyone know how bad this would be for watches in the long run, especially given that some of my watches aren’t worn for long periods of time? I assume that a well built/constructed band would be affected less but should I be at all concerned about it? I have been shopping around for smaller watch cushions but they are difficult to find, particularly ones that match/fit into the slots of my watch box.

Since they aren’t moving and causing any grinding while under the tension on the cushions it’s fine.
