    I read the article.

Well written and full of Rob’s usual sleight of hands to dismiss any criticism of his viewpoint and therefore any semblance of a balanced debate on his opinion. Let me give a few examples in his section about how we need an exciting young offensive minded coach

Nothing about the last few weeks makes this feel any less pertinent. Plus, look at the teams with the best records in the NFL currently:

Miami — Mike McDaniel Chiefs — Andy Reid Jaguars — Doug Pederson Eagles — Nick Sirianni 49ers — Kyle Shanahan

Baltimore are led by John Harbaugh who appears to act as a figurehead. The Lions have Dan Campbell who cedes to Ben Johnson on offense, arguably the top Head Coaching candidate for the next cycle. Meanwhile, Kevin O’Connell is doing a fine job with the Vikings, Matt LaFleur is turning things around for the Packers, Sean Payton is leading Denver on a five-game winning streak and the Browns have Kevin Stefanski.

There isn’t a single team currently among the NFL’s elite with a defensive-minded Head Coach.

See what he did there? He takes elite teams with a defensive HC and somehow spins that they aren’t the HC (Harbaugh a figurehead?!) and then takes teams with an offensive minded that are at our level and claim they are doing better!

If we hit reset and end up as this year’s Vikings or Jaguars or Dolphins, I’m not quite sure it’s actually better than what we have now: a flawed team that beats bad teams (ignore the Bears game last night…) but loses to the best teams in the playoffs.

It’s sad really - he’s surrounded himself with sycophants on his live streams and gets super defensive to any opposing viewpoint and moderates out any disagreement on his blog.

It’s not that I don’t agree with Rob on many of his points. It’s just like the most ardent Fire Pete people on this subreddit, there’s little acknowledgement as to how likely it is things will actually get better or the risk we end up bottom feeders. Look at the mess in Carolina with their owner. What if Bezos is like Tepper? Not sure that’s a future I want to see happen.
