I like Justin Fields the person and the leader but I don’t know if he can ever be a great QB. My question is, is he good enough?

Yes, we can draft another QB with pick 1 or 4 (or whatever) but we can get a boatload of picks by trading down from #1. Most highly drafted QBs don’t turn into great NFL QBs and our franchise sucks at developing them.

As the defense is playing well, the OLine looks solid, can we go forward and compete with JF1?

Personally, I think if we boot Getsy and get an OC who actually builds a plan around Fields, we may be able to compete by investing in OL, DL and WR.

And if we win 2-3 more games, we might be stuck with the entire front office for next year anyway.

I sincerely believe that the bears organization makes QB’s worse. There is simply something about their internal philosophy that disrupts growth of would be great players.

I am not a football expert, just calling it like I see it. For example, had Patrick Mahomes come to Chicago, I genuinely believe he would be significantly less respected today - and it all would be on the bears organization. (Or disorganization, rather)

If you believe that basic concept it honestly doesn’t matter who we draft. (Or don’t) It isn’t even a debate really, we have the worst (literally) history of QB’s in Chicago.

Our legacy is literally drafting a new QB ever 3 years and ruining his career. This has been happening for 25 years
