All the story lines. The culmination of “The Trade”. Lions vs. Stafford. Goff vs. McVay. All in the first playoff home game in Detroit in ages.

I think it would be the most fitting, dramatic, entertaining, and a bit of that universal poetic beauty that happens in sports from time to time.

And I believe this is a very real possibility with the Vikings seeming to fall off and a favorable Rams schedule. Those last two playoff spots will likely be a battle between Seahawks, Rams, and Vikings.

That is a nightmare scenario I want nothing to do with.

You want to tell the tale to your grandkids of the Lions trading away the best QB in their franchise history only for him to come back and knock them out at the first playoff game they host at Ford Field?

Ever play chess? Sometimes in order to win you got to sacrifice the Queen, the most powerful piece on the board.

Lions trading Stafford allowing them to transcend to that next level and become a winning franchise is also a great tale.
