Think about it: We’ve got the bye week coming up, which would effectively give McDermott’s replacement an extra week to get settled in with the team and hopefully better make sure we can get it done for the rest of the season. It just makes sense, and the fact that Beane hasn’t pulled the trigger yet tells me that he’s part of the problem as well.

Why would you replace the Head Coach while you still have a shot at making the playoffs

Because we don’t have a shot at the playoffs. Just because we aren’t mathematically out of it yet doesn’t mean that we stand a chance.

Furthermore, there isn’t a coach on the staff they would want to consider as a potential replacement so making a change now makes absolutely no sense.

Cut a deal with another team and get someone from their staff. Who says the Trade Deadline applies to more than just players?

The Bucs were 6-6 the year they won the Super Bowl. We’re not out of it. Cut a deal with a team to bring in one of their coaches? Thats not a thing. Even if it was who you cutting a deal with? An OC from a losing team? Playoff bound teams aren’t letting coaches go this late in the season. This is a completely nonsense take. You’re just salty with McDermott and want him punished. Nothing about this take would be at all helpful to the team.
