In fact, we were 10-6 last year at the same time, and had Hali not gotten injured, we probably would have made playoffs in 2023. So what gives?
So questions:
- Why is the defence so bad? (last in the league)
- Why don’t we have a legit 2nd scorer, and why does Mathurin play 5 minutes less a game when everyone on this thread seems to think that Benn has slightly improved? Weren’t we better when Benn was 6th man, played 30 minutes a game and changed the tempo of the game and drew some fouls on the other team?
- Why are Pacers playing .500 ball only when Haliburton gets video game type stats like 35 ppg and 15 assists? What does that say about the team?
- Why are some players singled out on Defense like Mathurin and Neismith when in fact there are way worst players on the team? Why is Carlisle so comfortable yelling at those players?
- Why did Carlisle leave a once in a generation talent in Doncic? Why did he give up on him?
Thank you for your answers.
Relying on streaky shooters, while having 0 defense, means we will win some we shouldn’t, and lose some we shouldn’t
I think Haliburton relies too much on Buddy and we will need to replicate this offense with a better defender. As we saw with the Blazers he will likely need help.
Good points here. But I do like how Buddy has accepted whatever role or playing time he was given I must say. But Hali has his favorites for sure.
