Mathematically the 3 is the better play , even Draymond has talked bout this as the defending team you don’t want to give up the 3 to lose . Kawhi is a 40% 3pt shooter n then it increases chance of off rebounds like Russ got. Say he shoots 30% cos it’s bad 3. Vs 50% midrange 2 , 50% to tie 50% to win in ot ( and wear n tear ) is only 25%. So you need to only shoot 25.% from 3 for it to be better lol . Cos off rebounds exist etc
