Randles numbers as a knick are among the best of all time. No one is questioning his numbers. He’ll probably average 23/10/5 again this year on decent efficiency.for me it comes down to, can you trust him in the playoffs not to implode? I mean the bar is low, I dont expect him to even be good, just not implode would be nice. Right now the only guy on this team that you can feel comfortable with to get you a playoff bucket under pressure is Brunson. And that’s our biggest need, not a backup PF. we need a guy that can help Brunson under pressure.

I think if his playoff implosion happens a 3rd year, then it becomes a real thing. I can give him the benefit of the doubt for 2 playoff years for various reasons, but after 3 then it becomes a legitimate trend. In other words, this years playoff performances should be considered make or break for Randle’s future outlook.

he just lacks composure, we’ve seen it even in reg season games when teams target him. His offensive style of play is just very discombobulated at times, and that makes him very susceptible to turnovers against the good defensive teams.
