Just a few bullet points:

  • We started this season with 1.4M subscribers. We are now over 1.9M. That makes us more popular than r/hockey, r/health, r/elonmusk and even r/carporn (SFW, I swear). We may soon pass r/powerwashingporn (SFW, too), at which point, sky’s the limit.
  • Because we are that busy, and especially given that y’all have now had 3+ months to get with the system, the mods reserve the right to go beyond our normal 3-day ban for first-time Rule 1 violations in order to keep the sub useful for everyone. Things which might trigger enhanced penalties include questions which also serve to gloat about how well you’re doing (“I’m 11-1 and have a week 15 bye, so please help me figure out which kicker …”), as well as those which occur during particularly busy periods here. We aren’t messing around: use the index.
  • No, we don’t have a consensus answer to whether tanking a game in your league, under your unique circumstances, is kosher or justifiable. Sure, you can ask in the League, Commissioner, and Platform issues index thread, but you’re going to get the same spread of answers which already exists in your head. Let your conscience be your guide. But you are not entitled to a bespoke answer on this as a separate post on the sub. See prior bullet.
  • Especially now, remember that collusion isn’t the only reason to veto a trade, and a failed/quitting team selling assets cheap merits extra scrutiny.
  • We are becoming more flexible about awarding flair to users who particularly enhance the utility and culture of the sub. Don’t ask us for one, but you might just earn it.
  • I don’t know about y’all, but I am at the Anger phase of the Kübler-Ross Stages of Grief in processing Austin Ekeler no longer being an elite, must-start running back. I let other owners’ Pollard-related depression (now abating?) distract me from my own necessary evolution. It’s time to get past Denial … or maybe this is my futile effort at reverse-jinxing him.

Good luck, everyone, as the playoffs near.

I think it should be mentioned that someone breaking rule 1 doesn’t give other people the right to break rule 5, “be respectful”
