Is leaving the max charge percent at 100% but not charging to 100% (or very infrequently doing so) an issue per se?
I understand the concept around not always charging to 100. Wondering though is there any guidance on setting the max charge and leaving at 100% versus the 80-90% recommendations?
Say I just leave max charge set at 💯 but when charging i don’t get there 90% of the time due to disconnecting earlier due to timing at a charger(L2 or L1). Like today I let it charge to about 97% overnight on my L1 but since I’m going somewhere, I don’t get to 100%. Then I’ll come back and be down to say 75% and plug in and get to say 87% next time.
Very infrequently I’ll get to 100% just due to circumstance. Maybe 1 time every couple months I’ll touch 100%.
I’m not sure it’s “actually” at 100% when it says it is. Don’t these newer vehicles protect from hitting 100% by stopping before it hits it and then saying 100%?
