So, my current system is the Denon RCD-M41, which includes the RCD-M41DAB receiver. I planned to upgrade to a whole new system. I’ve settled on the Klipsch Cornwall IVs. I know they’re high efficiency speakers at 102 dB sensitivity (8 Ω). Until I decide and save a bit more for a better receiver, can I connect those speakers safely to my Denon receiver? It says it’s equipped with a 30 W + 30 W (6 Ω/ohms) high-quality amplifier circuit, but also says that you can use speakers with an impedance of 6 – 16 Ω/ohms. I just don’t want to damage the speakers in the mean time, as I know an underpowered amp can cause the speakers to clip, though I probably would never get near the volume for that with such high sensitivity speakers. Just want to get some feedback before doing it. Thanks!
