With everybody this week claiming that the division was weak, or that it was bad but only because New England was so good, etc…I figured this should be brought up. In reality, the division as a whole had the best winning percentage outside of their division over basically the entirety of Brady’s time in New England at 53.4%.

Was a big part of that the pats winning a ton outside of division? Of course. But that doesn’t support the argument that their division wasn’t competitive, but rather the opposite. It shows that they were dominant against every division, not just their own.

It’s surprising that people will claim something based on what they feel or want to be true when the facts support the exact opposite conclusion.

Jets in the 2000’s were relatively successful. They made the playoffs like 6 times from 2001-2010. 2 of those times they made the AFC title game and 2 other times the divisional I believe

2002 Jets beat manning 41-0 in the wild card round and in 2004 lost to the 15-1 Steelers who the patriots beat the next round by only 3 points . Then 2009 and 2010 they played competitively in the AFC title game until the other team drifted by them in the 4th . 2010 was their best shot. Beat Manning then Brady then in the title game they couldn’t convert multiple 4th and goals and didn’t lose that bad to the Steelers .

Dolphins and bills made the playoffs once each I think
