I make no excuses but an observation regarding the NFL does come to mind…
Imagine if your employer got involved in your personal affairs. Even shoot it come to criminal charges, normally a person would be able to keep this A Private matter and insulate it from their employer. The NFL and other professional sports organizations are the only employers that I can think of that get involved in your personal and romantic affairs and will punish you for what goes on behind closed doors. Again not condoning such behavior, but the intrusiveness is kind of weird.
