Hi! I am a 31 yr old engineering and management professional graduated from tier1 Indian institutions. Presently workex is around 2.5 years in a MAANG company. Am interested in using the power of this sub to join a clear visioned indian tech startup.

The reason for my rather short workex is due to preparing for the UPSC (and failing) and also due to reclusion from the world due to a bad break up in my 20s.

Honestly I spent a lot of time focusing on what others wanted and getting them to like me or love me which provided 2 outcomes: 1) Misery (and lots of desolation) and 2) a complete break down and reconstruction of my personality.

I overcame these to clear a top tier MBA Institute and get into a MAANG company despite having years of gap in my resume. And then bagging a promotion within 2 years. And then getting married to the actual love of my life after sustaining a long distance relationship with her for 7 years.

I have always been uncommonly driven and a high achiever. Well spoken and behaved with a good head for numbers and arithmetic. But these years in my 20s unemployed and failing repeatedly at everything has taught me resilience and preseverance. Now I perceive these as my true superpowers, as I feel nothing can break me anymore. Indestructible and focused.

Now to talk business, am super interested in tech as a sector, specifically things related to AI-ML and blockchains. And I am especially keen about the future of the Indian tech scene, about building products for Indians and leveraging indian potential to raise global tech giants.

I have experience with coding and done a few projects with big data. I am currently nominated for and leading world wide process improvement projects within my parent org for my present employer. However I am looking for exponential growth for myself and my business which a structured employer can rarely provide.

So, TL:DR, is any army here a taker for this 31 yr old grizzled life veteran, seeking to build a new Rome.

Also, If you have been patient and read the full post, thank you. Any suggestion, leads or thoughts would be welcome.

You’re very detailed about your private life (congrats btw), and very vague about your specific skills. You need to switch that. You’re a great writer, but if you are offering skills, lead with that. But congrats with your Khabie kushie, khabie gham story, haha. Coding with? What is your specialisation in the data-field? What kind of experience do you have, what exact role did you have?
