Serious question. I’ve been a die hard fan of this team for 40 years. I grew up with the 4 Super Bowl losses. I watched every game featuring the likes of Rob Johnson, Drew Bledsoe, JP Losman, Trent Edwards. I believed in coaches named Dick Jauron, Chan Gailey, and Rex Ryan. I literally cried when Andy Daulton hit Tyler Boyd for a miracle TD that broke the drought for us. I don’t EVER remember feeling this level of disappointment and embarrassment regarding this team. The drought years were tough, but the birth of the mafia made it fun. I almost miss the days of having no expectations. At least when we had epic choke jobs then, it was to be expected and the rest of the league basically ignored us. The expectations have been sky high for 4 years now and we have delivered year after year of embarrassing failure when it matters most. And now this year. That Eagles game was the exact same script as 13 Seconds. Too many men on the field. Losing to the Jets. Being sky high after the Miami win, only to have a complete fucking meltdown in London, while losing our best defensive player. Losing to Mac fucking Jones! Josh looks like an MVP and has somehow been branded as a liability by the national media. What a wasted opportunity. What a wasted season. And now Von Miller being a POS is the icing on the cake. Seriously, is this the worst Bills season EVER?
Thanks I appreciate your thoughtful response. The trouble with this season, for me, is the level of disappointment. We clearly have the talent to succeed, but we are not living up to our potential, not even close. I get there have been worse TEAMS, but to see this Super Bowl caliber team losing games that would rival anything from the drought era, that’s a new level of pain and suffering imo.
