I was just going through team stats and noticed we were 10th in dfrtg. I was looking through some other team stats and noticed we are 3rd in steals. Our wing depth defensively is insane, and Sharpe has improved a bit on screens but still lacks a bit as a trailer since he does get hunted still.

But we are the 28th worse team in points given up in the paint. I personally think ayton has been doing really well in that side but does lack as a shot blocker. Rob Will coming off the bench when healthy and in groove with this team could absolutely make us a top 5 defense just with that presence. Our perimeter D is absolutely elite now.

I also completely get that since our perimeter defense is so good that it forces teams to push in far more than usual in todays nba but god damn have we been absolutely good at it.

We have camara, Matisse, and walker who are absolutely awesome defenders and even grant has been way better than I thought he’d be surrounded by competent defenders.

Idk I just wanted to point out that we are probably one of the biggest pain in the asses for teams to play against and we are only going to get better and that’s if we don’t change a thing. I like this squad. Shit looks good
