I know the narrative is out there that the coaching staff and maybe JD is safe because of Rodgers, but I don’t think Woody thinks like that.

In his time owning the team, he’s never kept a coach that has 3 straight subpar years.

2005 - Herm had a 4-12 year that was largely influenced by injuries. He was traded to KC for a 4th round pick.

2008 - Mangini went 9-7 with Farve after a 4-12 year in 2007. He was fired immediately after the season.

2014 - Rex was fired after going 4-12. You could argue that he was on a 4 year downtrend, but I think Woody thought he had righted the ship after going 8-8 in 2013 with trash skill positions.

2018 - Todd Bowles completed a 3-year trash trifecta by going 4-12 after two 5-11 years.

2020 - Adam Gase gets fired after a colossal display of ineptitude lasting 2 seasons.

Lots of defensive promise from Robert Saleh, but he’s 4-13, 7-10, and now 4-8 with at least 4 losable games upcoming. I don’t think Woody is going to react well to 4-13 or 5-12, even with injuries.

They want to run this operation with Rodgers. Nothing is going to change this season. Too much is invested. They’ll run it back one more year, but if it’s not a winning season next year- everyone is getting chopped. They all know it. There’s two -MAYBE three- good years left in Rodgers and that’s what they want to see. Johnson wants a Super Bowl now. Defense is ready, offensive weapons are there, just need Rodgers to perform. A good O Line draft this offseason will be necessary but everyone knows next year is it.
