I’m not just talking about because Kawhi won, I mean during the Finals, it was going to suck either way. It was either a team that stole our rejuvenated championship contender thunder & closed our window early by injuring our star (Warriors) which lead to the injury fiasco was going to win. Or the guy who left us hanging & did us dirty was going to win. Either way it was going to sting for a diehard Spurs fan like me.

I hated Kawhi so much at the time that I was actually rooting for the Warriors to 3-peat against him, that shows you how much I hated Kawhi more than the Warriors at the time, because even though a Warriors dirty play led to the injury fiasco, it was still Kawhi that chose to act the way he did.

Looking back now, I guess I am slightly happier that Kawhi won in hindsight since less championships for the Warriors is always a good thing, and because I know Kawhi won’t ever win a championship on the cursed ass Clippers.
