Let me preface by saying the league isn’t outright rigged in my opinion but certain outcomes are just not allowed especially when those outcomes can be detrimental to the more influential books in Vegas. Toss up games can have surprising outcomes and circumstances where teams are able to outplay ref interference are also possible so it’s not as if every outcome in the league is preordained.

However, the commanders game had the biggest spread on the M/L of the 1pm games. Vegas completely mispriced us because of the offensive line struggles I’m sure and the uncertainty for the defensive line as sellers at the deadline.

You could all of a sudden just see that as soon as we were up 14-3 the refs started calling EVERY ticky tack foul on the commanders and ignored blatant eagles fouls. It was a sudden change because until that point the game had been called rather cleanly. The weird officiating of overturning the called catch from New York, calling the Smith reception good, etc. all compound this perspective.

The team played about as well as could be imagined given they had to play the eagles and refs, it’s just really hard to overcome both. Great teams can but then again great teams are seldom in the same position because Vegas has usually priced them correctly.

Now going forward Vegas will price our games better knowing that Howell can actually fucking play and we won’t be getting so fucked by the refs. If the spread on the M/L was closer for this game i firmly believe we would have been allowed to compete fairly and likely would have won.
