As bad as the Jazz looked, seeing OKC lose by 33 in their home opener, Spurs by 40 to the Clips, and Portland by 28 makes me wonder about first week scheduling.
The NBA making teams play the first 3 games in 4/5 nights is probably a recipe for disaster. Especially these younger teams that are playing rookies/ 2nd year players that just aren’t used to this level of grind.
It’s not an excuse - only an observation.
I firmly believe - The season doesn’t start until Keyonte DOES
Agreed. Seeing a young OKC team win on the road in CLE coming back from 10 in the last 2 minutes, to having their HOME opener less than 22 hrs later.
Its unfair to the team, but also unfair to the fans. I am sure people paid big money to see a home opener against the defending champion Nuggets only to get an exhausted home team.
