Y’all he went 12 for 21 last night. His ball placement and decision making got our best offensive playmaker hurt. Are all of the “Heinicke is the answer” guys sure you actually watched the game?
How about the other 8 seasons this guy has been in the league? He has never been an above average QB. The Geno Smith career arc was cool to watch but Heinicke is not going to repeat that.
Now it should be said that I do not think Ridder is the answer long-term either. He has, however, shown noticeable improvement with each game. It has been rocky, sure, but we might as well let our young 3rd rounder show us what he can do with a year of coaching and development.
We are not winning the Super Bowl this year, especially after the Grady injury. If nothing else starting Ridder the rest of the year will just work to give us a more advantageous draft position.
