We all discuss which civs should be added and which civs could make a comeback from 4/5, but which civs have received too much attention in the franchise that you feel should not return?
For me, I would have to say the Zulu. They were a footnote in history that’s been overrepresented in every civ game. I think their story is interesting, but there’s only so many times you can rehash them in every single game. I would far more prefer Zimbabwe or Kilwa/Swahili making an appearance, as they are both in a similar region and have never been represented in a game.
Likewise, I think the Aztecs have had their hayday too long. I’m of the opinion that Mexico should be added, and having Aztecs and Mexico included could get crowded. If we are keeping two Mesoamerican civs, the Olmecs or Purepuecha would be a good change of pace.
