Hi, I just got mine today!! And I also got the LAMY Al-Star pen. I’m trying to install the eraser button hack but when I try to type in the password for the ssh root bit in cmd.exe it just won’t let me. I could type before that freely but not after. Am I doing something wrong? I’m using windows.
Update: Apparently when you type the password in it’s not visible! No cursor movement at all. Leaving this here for the other newbs like me :') I got it working at last.
This is standard for most places where you type a password. Most GUI (graphic user interface) programs will show a * or ● or something similiar for each character, and most TUI (text user interface) programs will show nothing at all. This is so that if somebody happens to see your screen while you’re typing it, they won’t see your actual password.
