No I’m not making a race joke I just wanted to comment on how boring and uninspiring any type of brand redesign for the city jerseys and now the NBA Cup floors as revealed by Zach Lowe are. Why can’t the team ever do anything fun and outside the box even if it will miss with the fan base? The floor revealed for the NBA Cup looks nice but again it’s just another take on how ‘traditional’ the Celtics are and we’re using green as the floor color. Just for once I wish we did someone completely out of the box like the Red Sox yellow jerseys.
Who cares. Sometimes I turn on to a nationally televised NBA game and can’t tell which team is playing because both have these wacky alternative jerseys on. I actually like the fact the Celtics are one of the few teams that still have the traditional design considering we’re a storied franchise
