Title says it all. I am looking for a winter car and I have the opportunity to purchase another BMW (my current car is an E92 M3 that doesn’t do midwestern winters).

I have limited information but I do know it is a single owner vehicle with 85k miles. It was owned by a wealthy family and used as the “kids” car. I suspect it wasn’t meticulously maintained but is probably in decent shape. No accidents or repairs.

I would greatly appreciate any insight on reliability, or if you would advise me getting this car. My fiancé and I do need a winter car but aren’t eager to buy another bmw, given how often mine is in the shop. I simply know nothing about BMW SUVs so all input is appreciated.

My initial plan was to daily a Honda CRV or something low maintenance and inexpensive to own.

Thank you kindly in advance for any advice, all is welcome.

Can’t speak to that car, but my E46 M3 handles canadian winters just fine as long as I put snow tires on. Are you sure yours wouldn’t?
