Paolo isn’t a good fit on this team.

Yes he’s a second year developing player, but his participation in our offence is so clunky. It seems like the other 4 have defined roles and play in the flow of the offence, whereas he’s just sort of there, ISOing and getting in the way. And this isn’t solely about last night - to me this has been a problem dating back to last season.

Every man, woman, and dog knew before the draft that this team badly needed a floor spacer. And then Paolo fell into our lap. Based on his size and potential, I think it was the right pick. But for our short-term prospects, it has exacerbated our issues.

This will never happen in a million years, but I would love to see Paolo playing with the second unit. Surround him with shooters and center the offence around him. Let him build some confidence away from Franz, who he frankly doesn’t have much chemistry with.

I’m sure this will make people mad, but just being honest about what I’ve seen.

Am I a moron?

This reaction is way too soon. We are three games in, with a good looking team against poor talent. The game against a playoff team went to the wire, and the team shot terrible.

Paolo is franchise level talent. Him not fitting in is not my concern right now. He was ROY and looked great last year. He’s not a one-trick guy, so if he can rebound, pass, play D - it’s ok if he starts slow offensively.
