Getting this guy for basically nothing is a clear win. He had probably his best game of the season against the Niners with 265 yards passing, 2 TDs, and 48 yards rushing.
He is an obvious upgrade over a 5th round rookie and actually gives us a legitimate shot to win games. Should be interesting.
Fill the QB room with young, affordable, mobile, passing talent and surround them with the coaching and weapons they need to succeed. Sounds realistic and smart and far less risky than hoping you get a decent RD1# QB pick.
