With the firing of Josh McDaniels and the Raiders GM it made me think.

Now I know that the Steelers have had more success than the Raiders and are a much more consistent franchise. But look at the Raiders standards and expectations for their team. They expect wins and results on the field and aren’t afraid to make changes. All while the Steelers are completely fine with a .500 season and no losing seasons for almost 20 years.

I see something like this and it pisses me off that the Rooney’s don’t hold their coach to higher expectations. I don’t think they should fire Mike Tomlin after 1 or 2 seasons of not meeting expectations, but how about 7? Or how about being embarrassed in games multiple times or losing when they were favored to win?

Again, I wouldn’t rather be a Raiders fan, I just wish the Rooney’s would have similar expectations and standards.

You ever think that maybe the Steelers, as a franchise, are more successful because they don’t overreact and are way more stable?

Volatility and change for the sake of change isn’t good for winning in pro sports.
