But tbh has anyone else seen how hesitant hes been when taking wide open 3s its like he doesnt trust himself and prefers to pass first but takes the contested ones, last season he would take those shots even if he doesnt make them you cant give up open 3s to then make a bad pass and its been every game so far, maybe his new playing style is whats making him play this poorly so far. Idk maybe im trippin but well see how this continues to play out so far not so good i trust he can get back to avg 25ppg but well see, we really missed barret tonight and thats a weird thing to say after the past few seasons HES had tough loss we as a team need to play better bottom line.
His play style definitely changed. He’s trying to be a playmaker which is great. However, he is shooting like ass and it’s affecting his confidence. We haven’t really seen him take his man to the basket either. I’m riding with Randle, and I’m hoping this is the year the Barrett takes that leap so it’s not all Brunson Randle. Brunson is another one who has been missing shots he was nailing last year. Both objectively have been much worse than last year.
It’s only been 5 games. Last year we didn’t turn it on until a quarter of the season past. I’m hoping that isn’t the case this year but im being patient.
Oh he’s trying to get to the paint a lot. But teams are packing the paint more and he’s getting D’ed up hard when he tries to bully his way in
