As we all know, Rasul Douglas was listed on the Bills injury report with a ‘just got here’ designation. It’s important to establish a time line for a possible return so im going to use my middle school science education to break this down.

Analysis:

The terms ‘just’ and ‘here’ are purposely vague which we’ve come to expect from the Bills’ injury reports. I’m sure our coaching staff doesn’t want to give opponents additional information that can be used against us. No one knows for certain when or where Rasul Douglas is at this exact moment or on the football field besides Rasul Douglas.

We also don’t know if the report was referencing a precise location or more of metaphorical approach such as the Bills referencing Rasul’s career peaking performance so far this year and thus arriving… in other words… ‘Just got here’. As stated beforethe vagueness is expected but lets go over what we know. Rasul is an absolute dog that is having a career year and surely going to catapult the Bills into the superbowl.

Another point of emphasis is that there wasn’t limited participation. A full Did Not Participate designation was giving which could hint at a few things. One: Rasul has transcended the need to practice and is already coaching and using his leadership qualities to improve his new team. Two: The wording ‘participate’ would imply that he did not dominate during practice which he very well could have. Of course he’s not PaRtIcIpAtInG. When you are as good as Rasul Douglas, you’re only options are to win or dominate.

Let’s conclude with everything we know:

With all the evidence in front of us, I think it’s safe to say that Rasul will be back within the week and there is no reason to worry about our new star corner. A new Day-to-Day designation has been authorized by myself and you can expect to see a pick-six on burrow this weekend, courtesy of Rasul Douglas.
