Hey guys,
I was at my regular poker home game tonight and we took intermissions from time to time and played a ranking game from 1 to 5 (1 being the best), ranging from video games to sports teams. I decided to devise one of my own and chose 5 NBA teams: celtics, heat, spurs, lakers & bulls. The twist to the game was, you show one random team at a time and the people decide where to rank them by taking into consideration that the next team will be random. So let’s say I show the heat first, the players have to rank it and keep in mind that the next team could literally be the pelicans because they wouldn’t know what’s coming next and they have to rank accordingly to get the “best list”.
I chose and showed the teams as follow: celtics -> heat -> spurs -> bulls -> lakers.
The players ranked them as follow:
- Lakers
- Celtics
- Bulls
- Heat
- Spurs
So to sun it up, they said celtics at 2, then put heat at 3 or 4, then spurs at 5, then bulls at 3 or 4 and finally lakers at 1.
(I may have mixed bulls and heat, but the others I remember correctly).
My first question is: do you agree with this list? All the players seemed to say this was the ideal list (we played more of this game and there were no consensus for the other ones like video games or movies).
Second question: what would be your ranking? I’m talking overall franchise history and players. I was shocked that the spurs were last as they were literally a powerhouse for over 20 years.
Just a fun post I figured is up for discussion!
Yea imagine if they had continued. I purposely didn’t add it cuz of the recency.
