lve been a Liverpool fan since 2009. cried with my friends at the pub when we finally won the league, watched with horror as sergio ramos took Salah’s shoulder to the shadow realm, to this day my whatsapp status is “Corner taken quickly… ORIG!”… I live in Israel, and my Uncle was murdered by Hamas’s forces at October 7th. Yesterday my GF convinced me to watch the game to take my mind away from everything that has been going on in my country. Then as I usually do I checked r/LiverpoolFC to catch-up on all the news about the game, that’s when I saw a banner commemorating 3 lsraeli civilians, loyal LFC supporters who were also murdered in the October 7th events. I was moved to my soul, and was so proud of my club, of it’s supporters and was proud to be a supporter myself. After the game I saw this picture, they took it down because… really don’t want to get political here, but the fact they took it down and then I saw pictures of the L.F.C supporters being able to show flags of Palestine…It broke my heart. Those were 3 extremely loyal Liverpool fans that practically were disowned by the club. Doesn’t matter where they are from, doesn’t matter what kind of conflict led to their death… This is not OK. I hope somehow that the club will do something, anything to make me believe in it once again. Because now, for the first time in my life, I feel like I’m walking alone. Thank you for listening and sorry for my English. This post wasn’t made to start a discussion about the conflict, but to raise awareness about 3 humans who were wronged.

Seeing Palestinians as human is being wilfully misinterpreted as antisemitism now
