A couple of weeks ago, u/T1m_NBA posted a wonderful analysis of the second-most used play in the Laker’s pre-season. It’s not a terribly complex play, but it is efficient, at 1.10 points per play, and it doesn’t require any special players or superpowers. I mean, just watch the video, Tim explains it much better than I ever could:

Thing is, I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this being run over the last, oh, five games or so? All of our half-court play is either
- a LeBron miracle play
- an AD miracles play
- or someone firing a rushed shot trying to make the best out of a stagnant, predictable, ineffective “offense”.
It’s the same players, same coach, same season. What in the almighty F#$! happened that our guys suddenly forgot their most-run plays from just a month ago?! Please help me understand this!
Want to know why Ham is failing as a coach? This stupid “next play mentality” he has instilled in this team is why we have no fucking offense. Just bring the ball up the court and hope for the best is basically all he’s asking for. He needs to go. He is not a good coach.
