Randomly walked passed my TV tonight and heard a woman playing acoustic guitar; solo and live on Comedy Central.
HOLY SHIT was it great!!! I’m not super big into lyrics or meaning, I am much more interested in how it sounds, audibly. I honestly never listen to lyrics, I just listen for the sound, music quality and flow, but her song sounded terrific.
She was talking about methadone clinics, gentrification, and some other intense shit, not totally sure. But the musical feeling and sound of the song was terrific. Kind of like 90’s Jewel, but possibly a bit better.
