He can’t play pick and roll defense He’s an absolute cone on defense vs smaller players On offense he has fumblitis and is clumsy and blocky He can’t make quick reads he is not a read and react guy He has no range on his J, consistently All he is a garbage man clean up missed shots and grab defensive boards, he’s a usable body against Jokic or the biggest teams like Minnesota Am I wrong? Why wouldn’t Lue just play Brooklyn Nets ball and go with one PG and 4 wings at this point (Russ, Harden, Kawhi, PG, Mann)
Zubac was pretty much failing at every single task he was assigned last night. Complaining to the ref instead of focusing on defense, fumbling passes constantly, going up soft getting blocked by much smaller players, and defended even softer. Imo he’s a much better player than what he’s played this year. But we’ve gotta be honest Zubac has been played off the floor multiple times in the first week. The center position right now is our biggest issue and should be talked about. Yes we have 4 first ballot hall of famers but if your big can’t set good screens or roll or do simple nba ready stuff it can still fail because opposing teams will attack him every chance they get. Yes we need to allow our big man some grace as a fanbase but he also needs to step it up big time
