From the jump last year we immediately knew Ham was not a good coach from a tactical standpoint. He has no concept of offensive coordination whatsoever, he cannot call plays to save his life, his timeout usage is abysmal, he never adjusts during games, hardly adjusts between games, often comes up with actively detrimental gameplans (hedging Curry screens… are you fucking kidding me?), he consistently plays guys in roles they aren’t suited for even when the personnel is there to play them correctly, it’s been an absolute shitshow from an Xs and Os perspective. There is no denying this in any way.

The one thing keeping him and us afloat during this was his ability to get the team to give full effort. No matter how much we were down, we fought. I mean he managed to convince that worthless egomaniacal diva to come off the bench for us.

He’s not doing that anymore.

Nobody’s giving effort, nobody’s doing the little things, nobody’s making those team plays, nothing. LeBron has openly criticized Ham’s usage of himself and his teammates, and he somewhat fired back at Ham for the “send a message” comment, which in and of itself was a red flag.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions here, but the evidence is becoming tough to argue against: Darvin Ham is losing, or has already lost, the locker room.

If this happens or has already, there’s no more defending him. There’s no more “team continuity/chemistry” discussion with regards to a coaching change, there’s none of that. If a schematically incompetent player’s coach can’t motivate the players, he is nothing but an active detriment to the team and needs to be replaced immediately.

I don’t know if Stotts still wants to coach, I honestly don’t know who is out there period, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING, can be worse than Ham right now.

Ok… I was kind of mad last night. Let’s wait until December. Everyone needs to chill.
