I know what everyone is thinking… who cares right? I know Frank was not the coach we wanted him to be. I personally was not the biggest fan of his play calling and coaching style, as most of us weren’t. But I just honestly feel bad for the man struggling over there in Carolina. I was pulling for the panthers tonight just to hopefully give Frank a little boost of energy. I was sure tired of watching the Colts play with him in command and I am the biggest Steichen supporter, but I would love to see Frank succeed as a coach over in Carolina. Anyone else feel kinda bad for him? Or feel the same way about seeing him be a solid coach?

Frank certainly isn’t built to coach/energize a garbage roster, and man is that offensive roster brutal. Theilen is the WR1 and wouldn’t be higher than a WR3 on nearly every other team in the NFL. OL can’t block anyone. And Bryce certainly isn’t overcoming the deficiencies.

Just a brutal offseason for the Panthers. Obviously the Young pick/trade. Brought in Sanders, Chark, and Hurst on offense who have collectively been useless and none of them are number 1 at their position anymore (or less than useless). Bozeman was predicted by PFF to be ~16th at beginning of season and is ranked 34th right now. Theilen was a good signing.

I think it’s a fools errand to try to grade coaches of terrible rosters (Andy Reid and Belichick have both been fired, Belichick has two wins this year, Walsh went 2-14 his first year, etc), but not a great couple of years for Frank
