Quick properly gets slammed here and really embarrassed himself during the Dame Saga. But he was all we had for Blazers coverage in The Athletic. There has not been a single Blazer-centric article in it for weeks, other than team press releases on the Scoot and RWIII injuries.
When I subscribed, it was on the promise that I would get beat writer coverage on my teams - Blazers, SF Giants and 49ers. They do OK on the last two but suck on the Blazers. Did Quick leave or is this just the New York Times cutting costs? Pretty sure this wouldn’t happen to the Knicks or Nets.

Yo JQuick has mental health issues that he takes a break sometimes to deal with and I don’t think “proof of life” is appropriate in this instance as in light of the context it becomes a bit macabre.
