honestly i have been dying for this day. currently dual booting my PC because i cant seem to manage 4k hdr on linux . i couldnt manage to cross 4k 60hz (maybe i am dumb? but it wasnt very straightforward thanks to driver issues) or HDR on my linux boot. with this news, i am one step closer to getting rid of my windows install (no hate to windows users).

but seriously, the biggest win of this announcemet, is not the oled screen for me, but the wider impact on linux gaming in general… here’s to hoping this seeps into other distros soon
