because he’s not supposed to. All Kenny’s been told is to not turn the ball over, which is why we’re seeing so many curls, throws to the flat, and comebackers. Even the go-balls are almost always against single coverage on the boundary. This is a run-first offense, and the game scripts that Tomlin/Canada scheme revolve around running the rock. Hell the only game Kenny’s ever thrown for more than 300 was his first start against the bills when he barely had any first team reps and was playing catchup the entire game.

Point being there are plenty of valid criticisms for his play this year, but his basic stats should be lower down on the list. He hasn’t thrown a pick in the last five games and is currently at the helm of a 6-3 team. we should see how he performs with a competent scheme next year (hopefully) and then judge whether to pick up the fifth year option. Also throwing laterals for screens doesn’t help

I dont think the big thing is needing him to have 400 yds. It is a lovely straw man though.

Now 300 yds is more realistic. The offense has made that possible. Also 3 passing tds in a game. That should be possible. He had done 300 yds once in a game he also threw 3 ints. He has had 2 td passes 1 time.

I am not asking for Mahomes. I am hoping he starts to reach the Dalton line. It just under to be avg.

Wanting a qb to be avg isn’t asking a ton.
