I tried to stagger with balance and least redundancy in mind best i could and even a couple small ball moments, see total minutes at end.
Obviously, this is one of many possibilities and foul trouble could change things.
1st Quarter:
12-8:00minute mark
Pg: Harden
Sg: Russ
Sf/pf: Kawhi
Sf/pf: PG13
C: Zu
Cause they have to start, for their egos. If they were alright with swapping starting unit every game (still equal minutes), I might make an “A” squad and a “1” squad that could scrimmage each other in practice and really build chemistry, but that’s for possibly another post one day.
8:00-4:00
Pg: Harden
Sg: Norm
Sf: Kawhi
Pf: Diabate
C: Zu
Above 5 would be squad “A”
4:00-8:00(2nd qtr)
Pg/Sg: Bones
Pg/Sg: Russ
Sf: Mann
Pf: PG13
C: Diabate cont., then Kobe/PJ at start of 2nd qtr
Above 5 would be squad “1” w/Plumlee at C.
8:00-4:00
Pg: Harden
Sg: Norm
Sf: Kawhi
Pf: Diabate
C: Zu
4:00-0:00
Pg: Harden
Sg: Russ
Sf/pf: Kawhi
Sf/pf: PG13
C: Zu
Mostly repeat for the second half
With 4:00min or earlier in 4th quarter Ty can do 3rd string if up by a lot and our stars could potentially still have equal minutes.
If it’s close and if Ty Lue has balls and is smart, pick either which lineup worked best that particular game or which players look like they are having the best/efficient game. Could go back to the four star lineup but I don’t think it’s the best combination.
Total Minutes:
HARDEN: 32
RUSS: 32
KAWHI: 32
PG13: 32
Zu: 32 (not the biggest fan of this, prob should be tweaked somehow)
Diabate: 24
NORM: 16
MANN: 16
BONES: 16
KOBE and/or PJ: 8
If guys can be humble here is the way I’d really do it:
12:00-6:00
“A” Squad:
Pg: Harden
Sg: Norm
Sf: Kawhi
Pf: Diabate
C: Zu
6:00-0:00
“1” squad:
Pg: Bones
Sg: Russ
Sf: Mann
Pf: PG13
C: Plumlee/Kobe/PJ
Same for 2nd qtr… at half time, let whichever squad played better in the first half finish the game in the 4th.
These two squads can battle each other in practice all the time in friendly, but competitive scrimmages. Each squad will build chemistry within itself as they’ll really get to know how/where each player likes to be instead of having a million lineups with improvisation.
