They could have so many good opportunities to make content and get more exposure for tennis fans who usually don’t tune in the the finals. What else other than a slam to bring the whole tour together? The end of year finals would feel a lot more fan support as people want to tune in to see players hanging out. I feel like Indian Wells is a bigger event than the end of year finals. At least there’s a huge draw, beautiful place in California, and is already know as the the “5th slam.” You could see ranked players you’ve never heard of and maybe get to know them better.
Do you think the Finals should emphasize athlete attendence and make it an event for the whole tour, not just for a handful of finalist?
In that case there needs to be a rest day between semis and finals with both players getting that rest day.
